Information For patients and visitors

Entrances

All non-emergency patients and visitors will enter through RVH’s Main Entrance, located on the north side of the building facing Georgian Drive, across from Rotary Place, Patients attending an outpatient treatment clinic should enter at the Atrium Entrance, located on the west side of the building. Main and Atrium Entrances are open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Emergency Department Access

A separate, dedicated entrance to the Emergency department is located on the north side of the building, and is well-signed and well-lit. After hours (between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.), patients – including women in labour – should use the Emergency department entrance.

Visiting Hours

Visitors are welcome between 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Obstetric visiting hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Limit of two visitors per patient at a time.

Finding Your Way

Information Desks are located at both Main and Atrium entrances and are open 8a.m. to 8p.m. and 8a.m. – 4p.m. on weekends respectively. The main Information Desk is open weekends 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Parking

Visitor/patient parking is located in the lot directly in Front of the Main and Atrium entrances. The Parking Office is located beside the visitor parking lot and is open Monday to Friday, 6:30a.m. — 9:30 p.m. IF you require assistance outside of those hours, press the intercom button For help.

Parking Machines and Automated Banking Machines

Parking pay machines are located beside the parking office and in the Main, Atrium and Emergency entrance and Rotary Place lobby, ABMs are available in the Main lobby, Emergency, Atrium entrances and food court.

Transit

City of Barrie bus service is available to RVH via the 10A and 38 routes. Bus stops are located at the Main entrance parking lot beside Rotary Place.

Cafe Royale

The coffee bar operated by the RVH Auxiliary is located in the Main Entrance lobby and is open 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. All proceeds From Café Royale are directed to patient care.

Victoria’s GiFt Shop

Victoria’s Gift Shop is on Level 2 off the Atrium Entrance lobby. All proceeds From Victoria’s Gift Shop are directed to patient care.

Health Library

RVH’s Health Library is located on Level 2 off the Atrium (Orange) Elevators, open Monday to Friday,9 a.m. 4 p.m.

Food Services

The food court located on level 1 offers Jugo juice, Tim Hortons, Subway, Druxy’s and Panzerotto Pizza & Wing Machine. Vending machines on Level 1 provide a selection of Food and snacks

Patient Services Entertainment System kiosks

Located in the Main and Atrium Entrances and in the hallways on Level 3 and Level 4
