Barrie and surrounding areas has a tremendous amount of sports and recreational activities for the entire community. From the Barrie Colts to the Barrie Baycats Baseball team that add excitement to the city for home games. There are numerous of Sports/Recreation facilities and Sports Complex’s conveniently located in the community. Throughout the community there are various sporting teams for people of all ages, indoor or outdoor and for any season of the year. Even if you’re not interested in joining a league or sports team, there are sessions offered throughout the community where you have the ability to move at your own pace (e.g. Drop-In Swims and public skating). The city also offers summer and winter camps for children on summer holidays as well as winter holidays.
